From Commandant Desk

The present Commandant is Colonel Sandeep Puri (Retd). He has joined Bhonsala Military School on 15 March 2024 after 35 years of illustrious service in the Indian Army. Colonel Puri is an alumni of Mayo College, Ajmer and Hansraj College, Delhi, and has completed his military training from the Indian Military Academy. During his service he completed MSc (Defence and Strategic Studies) from University of Madras.

He has had vast and varied experience in all types of operational areas. He has served as a Company Commander on the Line of Control in Naushera and Kupwara. He served in Siachen Glacier and commanded a Battalion in Counter Insurgency Operations in Manipur and Kashmir. Colonel Puri has also served in various staff appointments and was posted as an Instructor in Junior Command Wing of Army War College, Mhow.  He is an avid sportsman, and his hobbies include travelling, reading and music.
